HGV Driver

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves yard shunting, local multi-drop deliveries, and back hauling operations. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods between our depot, customers, and suppliers.

·       Shunting trailers safely and efficiently within the yard and between loading bays.

·       Performing local deliveries to customers using curtain-side or box trailers.

·       Back hauling goods from suppliers or return locations.

·       Conducting daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.

·       Ensuring compliance with UK driving laws, tachograph regulations, and Working Time Directives.

·       Maintaining accurate records of vehicle movements and delivery logs.

·       Liaising with warehouse and transport teams to coordinate loading/unloading.

·       Adhering to all Health & Safety procedures.

·       Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.

·       Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.

·       Minimum 6 months HGV driving experience preferred.

·       Experience in shunting operations or yard driving.

·       Good geographical knowledge of the local area.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·       Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
